Amazing Folding Couch! Unbelievable Video!

The sofa appears to be made out of hundreds of thin, flat chair-shaped silhouettes, joined together by some kind of membrane in an accordion that can collapse down into a dictionary-think chunk or be spread out for feet on end, as a divan, chair or sofa. (via BoingBoing)

Town Declares Stephen Colbert Day

With the win of the Saginaw Spirit over the Oshawa Generals, the mayor of Oshawa has agreed to declare an official Stephen Colbert Day. Colbert bet the Oshawa mayor that the Spirit would win, and they did.

58% of Americans Wish the Bush Presidency were "just over"

The president’s approval ratings are at their lowest point in the poll’s history—30 percent—and more than half the country (58 percent) say they wish the Bush presidency were simply over, a sentiment that is almost unanimous among Democrats, and is shared by a clear majority of independents and even one in five Republicans.

LEMUR en Washington DC

El domingo pasado, el grupo artístico de robotica LEMUR terminó su presentación del Ballet Mècanique de George Antheil en el National Gallery for the Arts en Washington DC. Haber trabajado y ayudado en este proyecto ha sido realmente una experiencia única. Aquí un link a fotos del cierre.

Leningrad

Anoche vimos a los dementes de Leningrad, outfit de ska ruso. Jangueo con rusos es, en fin, muy interesante. Por un lado, uno pensaria que son totalmente distintos. Sin embargo, su cultura e interaccion social es muy parecida a la latina.
